Tamil Rewatchables: BAASHHA
New to season three of the Banana Boys is Tamil Rewatchables, a series where we go back and watch some of the most iconic Tamil movies of our youth. Inspired by The Rewatchables podcast from The Ringer network, we look to bring a fruitful conversation about some blockbuster Tamil movies that we believe to be a clear rewatchable, if it's playing in the background, you're gonna tune in! We had to start BIG with the first one and we chose the ICONIC Tamil gangster flick, BAASHHA! Baashha is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Suresh Krissna. The film stars Rajinikanth, Nagma and Raghuvaran, with Janagaraj, Devan, Shashi Kumar and Vijayakumar in supporting roles. It revolves around a humble auto-driver who stays away from violence, but is forced to show his violent side after his sister is attacked and his past as a gangster is revealed. Enjoy!
